RFP- Employment Training Services (Youth)

Description

NewarkWORKS is operational arm of the Newark One Stop Career Center and provides employment, education and training programs for Adult and Youth individuals. NewarkWORKS is seeking proposals for Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth funded services through NewarkWORKS which is the organization that will negotiate classroom size contracts, as well as refer participants to contracted vendors. It also houses the counselors who both assess and refer participants to services funded under this RFP. The main office is located at 990 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey. Service providers approved through this process will be working with this office to process referrals, billing, performance reviews, and accessing assistance for participants who need more than just employment-related training. NewarkWORKS’ activities are overseen by the Newark Workforce Development Board (NWDB). The NWDB provides oversight, works as the managing partner of the One-Stop Career Center. The business-led board ensures policies established by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development are being carried out for the NWDB is charged with assisting in the economic development of the city and to make sure that the services provided by the One-Stop are meeting the and provides direction for NewarkWORKS and the One-Stop Career Center.
