The Nevada County Behavioral Health Department is inviting proposals from qualified firms that specialize in substance abuse treatment who are interested in providing services included in the Substance Use Continuum of Care. Nevada County Behavioral Health is seeking proposals for the following in person service types: Prevention and Early Intervention. Nevada County is a small, rural, mountain community, home to an estimated 103,000 individuals. The county lies in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and covers 958 square miles. Only 33% of Nevada County’s population live in incorporated areas, with 17% in the Town of Truckee, 13% in the City of Grass Valley, and 3% in Nevada City, while 67% live in the outlying unincorporated areas. Over 93% of the Nevada County residents identified their race as White, while over 3% of residents combined identified their race as African American, Asian, American Indian, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander.
