The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) is requesting proposals from qualified consultants to provide design services for Glacier Highway (Ross Way – Salmon Creek) Water Main Replacement project. The Consultant shall provide Bid-ready construction plans, specifications and engineers estimate. Additionally, the Consultant will provide a technical memo for pipe size selection and a two-season construction phasing plan. The existing ductile iron water main along Glacier Highway between Ross Way and the Salmon Creek Water Filtration Plant is aging, undersized, and not anticipated to meet future system flow requirements. The Consultant shall evaluate the existing water system and determine the appropriate pipe size needed to accommodate future demands. The Consultant shall then design a replacement water distribution main between Ross Way and the Salmon Creek Water Filtration Plant.
