RFP - Concession Service for Horace Caldwell Pier

Nature of Project The Commissioners Court of Nueces County (hereinafter called the “County”) will accept sealed competitive proposals on behalf of the Nueces County Park Board Commissioners (herein “Park Commissioners”) for Concession Service for Horace Caldwell Pier in accordance with the specifications and other Contract Documents prepared by County and Park Commissioners. The proposal is to provide, operate, and maintain facilities and services for the public at Horace Caldwell Fishing Pier at I.B. Magee Beach Park in the City of Port Aransas on the north end of Mustang Island. The County has maintained a fishing pier at this location since 1950 and the current pier extends 1,240-feet into the Gulf of Mexico. I.B. Magee Beach Park and Horace Caldwell Fishing Pier serve local residents and more than five million annual visitors. The County spent approximately $1.5 million to construct the pier.
