STUDENT HOUSING CORPORATION Studio Lighting Engineer & Related Services REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL C1749 For the purposes of this project (the “Project”) the Fashion Institute of Technology and its auxiliary dormitory organization, the F.I.T. Student Housing Corporation, shall hereinafter be collectively referred to as “FIT” unless otherwise distinguished herein. Neither the Fashion Institute of Technology nor F.I.T. Student Housing Corporation will be responsible for receipt of any Bid which does not comply with the instructions as set forth further in this document. FIT is ONLY accepting electronic scanned bids for the subject project. You must email your bid to purchasingbids@fitnyc.edu in PDF format and it should include all the requested documents (See Attachment A – Bid Checklist) Bids must be received by June 8, 2026, on or before 12:00 P.M. Introduction The Fashion Institute of Technology (“FIT” or the “College”), a community college of art and design, business, and technology within the State University of New York system, serves approximately 10,000 full- and part-time students. Located in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, FIT’s campus consists of a twelve-building complex that includes administrative and academic offices, classrooms, computer labs, studios, the Gladys Marcus Library, and The Museum at FIT (“MFIT”). FIT also maintains four residence halls housing approximately 2,350 students. The F.I.T. Student Housing Corporation, a separate not-for-profit entity, owns and operates these residence halls for the benefit of the College and its students.
