This equipment will be placed at the KSU Main Campus used by the Nutrition Kitchen Coordinator across the state to provide nutrition education, promote creation and participation in various nutrition and food related programs as well as the promotion of local food systems. Section 2 Bid Specifications Kentucky State University is seeking one (1) Mobile Kitchen Demonstration Trailer that shall meet the following specifications: • 8.5 x 24 Concession Trailer (or similar) • Concessions window with glass and screen with a drop shelf on the outside • Insulated walls and ceiling • 3 sink package with handwash sink, base cabinet, 30g freshwater tank, 40g waste tank, water heater, and city water fill • Air conditioning and heating capability • Generator box with slides • 6-foot exhaust hood and fan • Fire suppression system installed and inspected including propane package with tank mount for 100lb tank; 750,00btu regulator; hose from tank to regulator; manifold, safety shut off valves, line to appliances • Full size refrigerator stainless steel • Full size freezer stainless steel • 48” 2 door sandwich unit • 6 burner stove top • Stainless steel tables and shelves • Kentucky plumbing code with inspection and approved sticker and paperwork • Onsite training • Commercial air curtains installed above concession windows and doors to improve food safety and protect against insects entering facility. Section 3 Purpose The purpose of this solicitation is to request vendor responses in order to provide the requested services under contract to the University as needed. Section 4 General This solicitation specifies requested items. It is not the intention of this solicitation to eliminate vendors or manufacturers of similar or equal equipment of the types specified.
