How tall is the chimney? Based on building section drawings on file, the chimney is roughly 52’ tall from the base in the boiler room to the top. Basement floor to 1st Floor = 11’-8”. 1st Floor to 2nd Floor = 13’3”. 2nd Floor to Attic Floor = 13’-3”. Basement Floor to Boiler Room Floor = -2’-1”. Estimate 8’ up through Attic Level and 3’ above Roof yields about 51’-2”. Contractor shall verify the exact height in the field and provide adequate quantity of chimney liner sections as required. (Spec. Section 15645, Part 3.01 indicates the chimney to be roughly 48’ high.) The photo below, taken from the base of the chimney, shows that the chimney is straight, bottom to top and shows the boiler breeching connection. Page 2 2. What are the dimensions of the oil tanks? The oil tank is 4,000 gallons. Previous specifications from its original installation suggest it is a 6’ diameter tank. Catalog data suggests a 4,000 gallon, 6’ diameter tank is roughly 22’ long.
