Revitalization of City-Owned Property Located at 2650 & 2700 N. Dixie Freeway, New Smyrna Beach, Florida

The City of New Smyrna Beach (hereinafter referred to as “the City”) is soliciting Responses to this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the revitalization of city-owned real property located at 2650 and 2700 N. Dixie Freeway in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.This solicitation shall be in accordance with Florida Statutes and must comply with Florida Statute 163.380(3)(a) as the subject properties are located within a community redevelopment area.Various options in revitalizing the properties may include leasing and/or selling both properties. The City will attempt to negotiate an agreement with the most responsive firm or individual which is determined to be in the best interest of the City.Revitalization of the properties shall be consistent with the New Smyrna Beach Community Redevelopment Agency’s (CRA) Master Redevelopment Plan (please see attached an Executive Summary of the CRA Master Redevelopment Plan), and economic development goals and objectives as defined in the Scope of Work and Evaluation Criteria of this RFP.A proposal, if approved by the CRA Board and City Commission, shall be in accordance with the negotiated terms and conditions set forth in an agreement between the City and the successful respondent. The City may accept such proposal as it deems to be in the public interest and in furtherance of the purposes of the Community Redevelopment Act of 1969.
