Residential Recycling Service

Description

As requested by the City Council of the City of Edgewater, the City of Edgewater Finance Department (hereinafter, “City”) has issued this Request for Proposal (hereinafter, “RFP”) with the sole purpose and intent of obtaining bids from interested and qualified firms offering to provide Residential Recycling Services, in accordance with the specifications stated and/or attached herein/hereto. The successful proposer will hereinafter be referred to as the “Contractor”.  Additionally, please note that this solicitation operates independently and is not connected to ongoing solid waste collection services. Bids that combine residential recycling and solid waste collection will not be accepted by the City.If awarded, a contract to provide these services will be effective on September 25, 2024 as approved by the City of Edgewater City Council (hereinafter, the “Council”), signed by all required parties, and filed with the City Clerk.   The initial term of the contract will be three (3) years, with two (2) optional one (1) year extensions thereof. The contents of the successful proposal response will become part of the contract document. As is more fully explained in Section 3. "Instruction for Proposal" of this RFP, an award, if made, will be made to the best overall proposer(s) whose proposal is most advantageous to the City, taking into consideration the evaluation factors outlined in this RFP. The City will not use any other factors or criteria in the evaluation of the proposals received.
