Resident Relocation Services for Scattered Site Public Housing Units

On December 13, 2023, the Housing Authority of Washington County (HAWC) was approved for disposition of 60 of its 244 public housing properties by HUD. The units are scattered site single-family properties and will be dispositioned under the framework of the Section 18 program as outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) at 24 CFR Part 970. This RFP is intended to identify and award one contract to a single provider for relocation services for 54 properties; six residences are vacant. A small number of residents may purchase their homes while approximately 50 households will be relocated to other permanent rental housing.Relocation services consist of ongoing meetings with residents and the HAWC project team, producing a Relocation Plan, assisting tenants with finding new housing, coordinating the resident moves including packing and moving services, maintaining resident relocation files, and ongoing resident case management.
