Request For Qualifications and Proposals For Engineering Services

Description

The City of Tifton is seeking Statements of Qualifications and Proposals from qualified and experienced engineering firms with a strong record in successfully assisting local governments with state grant funded projects. Responding firms should be technically qualified and licensed in the State of Georgia. Sealed proposals will be accepted at the Office of the City Manager located at Tifton City Hall, 130 E. 1st Street, Tifton, GA 31794, until 4:00 PM on September 18, 2026, at which time they will be opened and acknowledged. This RFQ is being pursued in connection with a project submittal for the Rural Workforce Housing Initiative administered by the OneGeorgia Authority of the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA). The selected firm will be required to comply with all applicable requirements of the OneGeorgia Authority, State of Georgia, and the City of Tifton. The City of Tifton plans to contract for engineering preliminary design and report services required for application and, if funded, engineering services for the implementation of the project. Selection of an Engineer for the project will be based on qualifications and evaluation as they relate to community and economic development needs. The project is anticipated to include Engineering Services for the planning, design, cost estimating, permitting, procurement, and construction management of the public infrastructure necessary to support a new workforce housing development, including, but not limited to: water distribution infrastructure; sanitary sewer infrastructure; stormwater drainage; and roadway construction. The City of Tifton reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals, waive any informalities in the proposal process, and make an award in the best interest of the City.
