The Family Homeless Prevention and Assistance Program (FHPAP) is designed to provide supportive services and/or financial assistance to households that are experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of housing instability. The FHPAP application from Minnesota Housing (MN Housing) is expected to be released in November 2026 and Washington County will submit an application to MN Housing for these funds. Washington County wishes to sub-grant to multiple experienced organizations that can serve the Washington County area based on the needs and priorities established by the Heading Home Washington (HHW) collaborative. The grant will continue the work of the Washington County FHPAP program that has been established since 2007 while advancing the immediate needs of the community. It has been determined that the primary needs of our community at this time are to supplement funding in the areas of Prevention and Rapid Rehousing.
