The City of South San Francisco has decommissioned the former Main Library and replaced it with the recently opened Library and Parks and Recreation Building at 901 Civic Campus Way. The former Main Library is now closed and unoccupied. While the City of South San Francisco continues to study City-operated programs at this site, staff also wishes to seek qualified private and non-profit partners. The City is seeking innovative, community-oriented service providers to submit a proposal for operating within the former Main Library building. The preference is for a private preschool operator or similar school operator. The proposal could be for a single user or a combination of users, however – the ideal candidate will serve the local population, operate and maintain the building, and function as a master lessee. The City is open to creative proposals.
