The mission of the City’s Water Services Division is to provide a high-quality potable water supply that meets all local, state, and federal regulations, provides adequate flow and pressure for daily domestic use, as-well-as, fire protection during peak demand, to operate at the highest efficiencies and lowest reasonable costs, while maintaining service reliability via redundancy. The City of Tustin (City) is soliciting proposals from qualified water resources consultants for the preparation of a comprehensive Water Master Plan (WMP). The WMP shall be a thorough, straightforward, and a practical document designed to improve efficient and responsible water planning, while protecting resources for future generations. An emphasis will be placed on water quality, while assuring that all regulatory requirements are identified and met. The WMP will provide an updated and calibrated hydraulic model, water system demand and supply analysis, optimization of supply facility operations, evaluation of distribution system maintenance programs, asset management, capital improvement program including cost estimates, water quality considerations, and identification of overall deficiencies within the water system.The goal of the plan is to prepare a comprehensive 20-year planning document that will serve as the primary working documents for management to meet the present and future needs of the City’s water system. The WMP will be used to develop programs to provide safe and reliable potable water to the City through the year 2040.
