Request for proposals for Citywide BMP maintenance

Description of Work:  This work shall consist in part of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, incidentals as required by specifications and contract documents for the above stated project.  The work to be done hereunder consists of providing Citywide Catch Basin BMPs Maintenance Services that will include labor, materials, parts and equipment all as specified herein or as customarily necessary to complete the intent of the proposed work.This is not a Public Works project but rather a Maintenance Services Contract and therefore is not subject to award to the lowest bidder.  The award of this contract will be made at the discretion of the City, based on the qualifications, demonstrated experience and the fee proposals submitted by contractors with responsive proposals.The work to be done, in general, consists of removing and replacing each proprietary BMP media filters or cartridges with the manufacturer’s approved filter or cartridge.  The replacement filters shall be the same size, type, filter media, and operate as the original filter.  Any filter deviation from the original shall be pre-approved by the City Representative.  Removal and installation of replacement filters shall conform to the BMP manufacturer’s installation procedures.
