Request for Proposal Professional Services for Preparing a Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP)

Description

General work description: The County of Yuba is accepting proposals from qualified professional engineering consultants for the preparation of a Local Roadway Safety Plan (LRSP) to systematically identify and analyze safety problems and recommend safety improvements. Preparing an LRSP facilitates the development of local agency partnerships and collaboration, resulting in a prioritized list of improvements and actions that can demonstrate a defined need and contribute to the statewide plan. The LRSP offers a proactive approach to addressing safety needs and demonstrates agency responsiveness to safety challenges.The LRSP shall include, but be not limited to the identification of existing conditions, collision history data, developed findings, and present recommendations to improve roadway safety.Yuba County Public Works is soliciting proposals from qualified consultants to provide services to develop Yuba County’s LRSP. These services shall commence after the County of Yuba's County Counsel approves a contract. The County of Yuba is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) and Disadvantaged Enterprises (DBEs) are encouraged to participate. Due to the funding of this work, DBE participation is not required, but is encouraged. Please fill out the attached Exhibit 10-O1 to indicate any potential DBE participation. The Exhibit 10-O2 will be utilized with an executed agreement to indicate any potential DBE participation.Yuba County will administer any future construction or improvement contract(s) under a separate bidding process.
