Request for Proposal Family First Prevention Services and Office of Child Abuse Prevention Outreach Services

The County of San Benito Health and Human Services Agency (Agency) is implementing the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) and continuing to provide State Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP) child abuse prevention and intervention services to reduce the risk of children entering the foster care system. The State of California approved the Agency’s Comprehensive Prevention Plan (CPP) in November 2023. The Agency’s CPP is available here for review.The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to identify community-based organizations that have the resources and capacity to aid the Agency in delivering:Primary prevention outreach services identified in the Agency’s FFPS CPP that increase family wellbeing for all families in San Benito County to reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect, andPromoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF), and Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention and Treatment (CAPIT) funded programs.The Agency welcomes participation in the RFP process from any organizations able to serve youth and families of San Benito County. Proposals may be made for FFPS, PSSF or CAPIT programs or any combination thereof. This RFP may result in one or more contracts for prevention outreach resource development or direct prevention outreach services. The Agency may also choose to not contract for any services identified by this RFP.
