FAMILY HOUSING INITIATIVE KCLMB is seeking proposals to expand the capacity of an established Kent County provider to deliver housing navigation and cross-agency coordination services that prevent student and family homelessness. This funding is intended to strengthen organizations and agencies already serving families facing housing instability, not to create a new, stand-alone program. The funded provider must work across agencies to solve problems with the family and connect them with services and resources in real time to meet their goals for housing and well-being. KCLMB encourages applications from organizations and agencies that already work alongside families and could expand services by increasing their capacity; including emergency shelter and homelessness prevention providers, the Kent County Department of Social Services, and Kent County Public Schools’ Community School Coordinators. Funds may support added hours for existing staff, a dedicated housing navigator position, or contracted staff working under the lead applicant’s supervision. Funds must add new capacity and may not replace (supplant) existing funding for duties already being performed.
