Through this initiative, the City seeks to engage entrepreneurs and small business owners interested in testing and scaling their business concepts by providing access to affordable, short-term leases. Selected participants will benefit from reduced operating costs, tenant improvement allowances of up to $10,000, and a streamlined permitting process, creating an ideal environment for innovative businesses to thrive.The primary goals of Launch Local! include stabilizing the local commercial real estate market by filling vacant storefronts, cultivating vibrant and dynamic retail environments, and encouraging local entrepreneurship by lowering barriers to entry. This program prioritizes for-profit businesses that are seeking their first brick-and-mortar location in South San Francisco, with a preference for applicants who have completed a Renaissance program at the Economic Advancement Center (EAC).Potential participants are invited to submit proposals outlining their business concept, operational strategy, and financial capacity.
