Request for Applications (CONTINUOUS) - Guaranteed Ride Home Program Vendors (RFA# 202021-01)

Description

The purpose of this Request for Applications is to add eligible vendors to the list of Authorized Mobility Service Vendors (e.g., taxis, transportation network companies, car rental companies, or other vendors that can provide on-call ride services) for SACOG’s Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) Program. The application is attached as Attachment A.The GRH Program provides commuters who regularly (twice a week) carpool, vanpool, bike, walk or take transit to work with a $50 credit toward a reliable ride home when one of life’s unexpected emergencies arise. Commuters may take advantage of GRH up to two times per year to get home for unexpected emergencies such as a personal illness or a sick child. GRH can also be used for unscheduled overtime when an employer mandates that an employee must stay late.Once a vendor is added to the list of Authorized Mobility Service Vendors, SACOG will open a purchase order for the vendor with the terms and conditions attached as Attachment B. Once that purchase order is approved, SACOG will work with the vendor to add codes or vouchers to sacregion511.org where commuters can then select their preferred vendor for a ride home when an emergency arises.An estimated budget or "not to exceed" amount has not been declared for this project. Applications will be evaluated based upon best value, per our Evaluation Criteria.
