Renewable Natural Gas Purchase and Low Carbon Fuel Standard Management

The City of Santa Monica’s Public Works Department Fleet Maintenance and Water Divisions are seeking bid responses to purchase Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) that is made entirely from organic waste for commercial vehicles on an as-needed basis per the specifications set forth below and to provide consulting services for the management of a low carbon fuel standards (LCFS) credit program. The successful Proposer(s) shall compensate the City for providing the proper rights for its LCFS credits generated under LCFS Regulations at the maximum, estimated revenue received. In accordance with the Sustainable City and Climate Adaptation and Resiliency plans, the City is soliciting the services of firms who can guide it towards its goal of operating a carbon neutral fleet of vehicles through the purchase of renewable natural gas. The services should include both the development and management of a Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Program along with the purchase of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG).
