Removal and Relocation of Playground Equipment for Oscar Johnson, Jr. Enrichment and Recreation Center

Description

Disassemble and remove playground structure, swing structure, age-appropriate signage, plastic timber border and ramp from the current Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center at 100 Park Place. Reassemble and install playground structure, swing structure, age-appropriate signage, plastic timber border and ramp according to manufacturer’s instructions at the new Oscar Johnson, Jr. Enrichment and Recreation Center at 710 Foster Drive in area designated for playground.When complete, playground equipment shall meet the most current ASTM 1487 standard for entrapment, entanglement and protrusion hazards.Install approximately 3,500 square feet geotextile fabric underlaymentInstall 135 cubic yards of new Engineered Wood FiberEngineered Wood Fiber shall be certified through International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) and shall meet the most current standard of ASTM F1292, ASTM F1951, ASTM F2075, ASTM F2223 and ASTM F3351 EXECUTION Age of playground is approximately 12 years.  Vendor shall anticipate damaged/ warped plastic timbers and/or seized/rusted hardware which may require replacement and bid accordinglyVendor shall be responsible for replacement of any equipment damaged during removal and/or installation processVendor is responsible for visiting sites prior to submitting bidAccess to playground areas may vary depending on site conditions.  Vendor shall be responsible for any rutting caused by their vehicles/equipment.Vendor and/or subcontractor shall provide all design, labor, equipment, materials and supplies for a complete turn-key projectSelected vendor and/or subcontractor shall coordinate installation with the City of Conroe Parks and Recreation DepartmentVend
