SAK Companies $4,939,580.00 ALL BIDS WERE REJECTED – REFER TO ATTACHED RESOLUTION NO: 2020-10-99 “Setting The Standard In Water Reclamation” Customer Towns: Eatontown ● Fort Monmouth ● Red Bank ● Rumson ● Sea Bright ● Shrewsbury Township ● Tinton Falls TWO RIVERS WATER RECLAMATION AUTHORITY RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR, REHABILITATION AND CLEANING OF MAJOR INTERCEPTORS, CONTRACT 169A RESOLUTION NO.: 2020-10-99 WHEREAS, the Two Rivers Water Reclamation Authority ("Authority") advertised for bids for its Rehabilitation And Cleaning Of Major Interceptors - Contract 169A (“Contract 169A”) project and on October 14, 2020, it received two (2) bids on the project; and WHEREAS, upon review of the bids, it was revealed that the low bidder took exception to certain requirements of the bid package, while the second bidder came in at more than twice the Engineer’s estimate for the project; and WHEREAS, after consultation with the design engineers, the Executive Director has determined that it is in the best interests of the Authority to substantially revise the specifications for the project; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law, (see N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2(d)), the Authority retains the right to reject all bids in the event that it wishes to substantially revise the specifications for the project.
