Reconstruction and Paving of Royal Highlands & Ridge Manor Roads

A. Hernando County is seeking Vendor/Contractors that are active in reconstruction and paving of existing County limerock roads. The work as specified in the contract will be performed on roads identified in the construction plans in Hernando County, Florida.B. In addition to reconstruction and paving, the scope of this project includes gopher tortoise conservation (permitting, mapping, capturing and relocating to recipient site), roadway excavations, roadway stabilization, placement of new road base, paving, minor shoulder grading, sign relocations, placement of sod, paint striping and thermoplastic striping. The project plan set establishes requirements for adherence to NPDES requirements and silt fence and drainage counter measures. Adherence to maintenance of traffic per the applicable FDOT and MUTCD indexes and chapters is also a requirement.C. If needed, the CONTRACTOR shall provide a yard for parking, maintenance and storage of all equipment at no expense to the County. This area shall be restored to its original condition at the contractor's expense.D. The CONTRACTOR shall accomplish the work in a manner providing for the safety of the public, their workers as well as their equipment.
