The St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport intends to enhance the safety and security of the Air Operations Area (AOA) by replacing vulnerable portions of existing fence with a more robust fencing system to improve the prevention of access by people and wildlife. In various locations, existing fencing will be removed and replaced with 8-foot tall prefabricated, non-scalable fencing topped with ribbon strip/razor wire and wildlife deterrent skirt at the base.
