Leon County is seeking the services of a qualified Licensed General Contractor for the renovation of 12,376 Gross Square Feet (GSF) of warehouse building for new LCSO Evidence Storage Facility. Install new roof and fire sprinkler system on entire 24,960 GSF warehouse building. Renovation to include interior demolition, new interior stud walls, reinforcement of existing CMU walls, new interior finishes, new offices, specialized storage areas, toilet rooms, MPE systems, alarm systems and limited sitework to include asphalt paving, minor landscaping and fencing.Security Requirements: All prospective bidders must familiarize themselves and agree to abiding with the "Leon County Sheriff's Office Construction Contractor Orientation Manual." Upon contract being awarded and prior to commencement of work, the Contractor shall submit a "Leon County Sheriff's Office Criminal History Check Request" for each employee entering the Facility. These documents may be found in Section 11 -Attachments C and D.Certain specifications related to the scope of the proposed work in this solicitation are exempt from disclosure pursuant to s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I of the State Constitution. Interested contractors will be required to complete a Non-Disclosure Agreement and agree to maintain the exempt nature of the applicable records. Encryption keys and/or passwords to secure documents will be provided to requesting contractors after the submission of the Non-Disclosure Agreement and acceptance by the Leon County Purchasing Division. Non-Disclosure Agreements may be submitted to the Leon County Purchasing Division from the time of Release until the conclusion of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting to interested contractors. At the conclusion of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting, only contractors who attended and signed in at the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be eligible to receive encryption keys and/or passwords to secure documents.
