See the attached response to bidder questions from the City. Providence City Hall 25 Dorrance Street Providence, RI 02903 Providence City Hall Envelope Restoration – Phase 1 Addendum #3 – Response to Bidder Questions 9/28/26 The purpose of this addendum is to respond to questions sent in by prospective bidders. City responses are below in RED. 1. Can you please provide start date for on site construction and end date? a. The City has tentatively planned for this work to be conducted through the entirety of calendar year 2027, as weather permits. We estimate an on site construction start date in late March/early April when the end of winter weather makes erecting the scaffolding viable and then to run through the fall, likely completing in the November time frame. 2. In section 013100, specifically page 1- paragraph 1.5 A. Is it the intent to provide an ON-SITE full time project manager, clerical staff person in addition to the full time on-site project site super? a. It is not the City’s intent to require that the bidders PM and clerical staff be full time on site. While bidders will need a full time on site super, their PM and clerical staff don’t have to be on site full time. 3. In Section 013100, specifically page 1, paragraph 1.5 A -2- Is it the intent to provide a full time on-site Assistant Site Super? a. While bidders will need a full time on site super, the amount of time assistants and other personnel helping the super are on site may be determined by the bidder. If the winning bidder has a full-time qualified site super and a qualified assistant supervisor who is not on site full-time, but is there for particularly intense work, that would be acceptable. 4. In section 014000- Quality Control, it suggest that the owner will engage a testing agency unless specified elsewhere. All spec sections do not specifically call for the contractor to perform any testing requiring a 3rd party. Can we assume any testing by a third party is by the owner? a.
