The scope includes providing a 1250kW generator and a 2000A open transition automatic transfer switch that will serve this purpose. In order to achieve this goal a new nema 3r switch gear and enclosed circuit breaker will also be provided and located outside adjacent to the transformer and transfer switch. The new switchgear will feed the MDP inside the building and the two existing air cooled chillers. The existing conduits from the utility owned pad-mounted transformer will be reused. During construction a temporary distribution panel will be connected to the new generator and be used to operate the facility.
