The Boarding Area F (BAF) Refresh Project (Project) will program, design, construct, commission, and activate reconfigured aircraft parking positions with new passenger boarding bridges (PBBs) and associated aircraft systems at select gates in Terminal 3, BAF. These gates, approximately seven (7) in total, will accommodate a mix of narrow and wide-body aircraft. The Project will also include installation of Common Use Systems and Infrastructure for, both aircraft systems (Advanced Visual Docking Guidance Systems (AVDGS), camera, Operational Wi-Fi, etc.) and boarding systems (FIDs, Gate Podiums, etc.) for each gate, as well as repairs and improvement of the apron pavement and the fuel hydrant system. The Project includes Air Operations Area (AOA) construction, civil engineering, utility infrastructure, foundations, superstructure, special systems, mechanical, plumbing, and telecommunication systems.Additionally, the Project will modernize the interior of the BAF (refer to Exhibit 1, Boarding Area F Plan View) to enhance the passenger experience, upgrade the restrooms, address aging building systems, renovate outdated hold rooms, comply with current sustainability codes, standards, and Airport requirements, and expand the concessions program- all while minimizing impacts to active operations. The Project will also include minor Baggage Handling System (BHS) improvements , such as replacing and reconfiguring the baggage claim carousels in Terminal 3 Arrivals.
