EMERGENCY RESPONSE PREPAREDNESS TO TARGETED VIOLENCE AT SCHOOLSacramento County is requesting proposals from qualified presenters with demonstrated experience in providing instruction on the topics of violence prevention, tactical casualty care and emergency response preparedness. The training course will focus on proactive approaches in the recognition and prevention of active shooter incidents and other acts of violence on school campuses. Course will include emergency response preparedness plans to enhance readiness to prevent, deter and mitigate acts of violence and response action to enhance survivability of potential victims. Training will incorporate adult learning techniques including facilitated discussions, skills stations and practical learning activities for a collaborative and diverse team approach in violence prevention, observable pre-attack behaviors, emergency response plans and application of basic life-saving techniques for self-care and victim care. The target audience for this course should be individuals assigned to or may be assigned to education, business, festivals and places of worship to include, but not limited to, public safety professionals, faith-based leaders, medical and mental health providers, teachers, state/county offices of education, workplace and open space officials.
