General work description:Sacramento County is requesting proposals from qualified presenters with demonstrated experience in providing instruction on the topic of school threat assessment and school safety in the K-12 school setting.ADVANCED THREAT ASSESSMENT: K-12 SCHOOL SAFETYSacramento County is requesting proposals from qualified presenters with demonstrated experience in providing instruction on the topic of school threat assessment and school safety in the K-12 school setting.Instruction will incorporate adult learning techniques including problem-based facilitated discussions, real-world case studies and learning activities for a multi-disciplinary, collaborative and diverse team approach in threat assessment, prevention and management strategies.The 8-hour course must be designed to actively engage participants in practical approaches in the recognition and prevention of targeted violence on school campuses. Subjects must focus on training law enforcement personnel to conduct threat assessments when there is an identified homicidal threat to school safety.
