Professional Consultant Services for a Brownfields Community-Wide Coalition Assessment Grant

In accordance with Florida Statutes, Section 287.055 Consultant's Competitive Negotiations Act (CCNA), as requested by the City of New Smyrna Beach, the Finance Department (hereinafter, “City”) has issued this Request for Qualification (hereinafter, “RFQ”) with the sole purpose and intent of obtaining qualifications from interested and qualified firms offering to provide a Brownfields Assessment Professional Engineering Consulting Services.Brownfields are defined as real property in which the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of said property may be complicated by the presence or potential presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant. The City has received a grant for hazardous substance and petroleum contamination assessments. Grant funds will be used to identify and inventory Brownfield sites, conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), plan for remediation and reuse of assessed sites, perform outreach activities to involve the community in the decision-making process, provide programmatic support and work.
