The City of Pasadena’s Water and Power Department (“PWP”) is seeking proposals for production cost modeling software (Resource Planning "RP" Software) to support the City of Pasadena’s renewable goals. PWP needs to be able to regularly analyze scenarios for long-term Integrated Resource Plans (IRPs) with a 20-year-plus planning horizon to support the ambitious decarbonization goal of 100% Clean Energy ahead of State goals. The Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) is a comprehensive planning process used to determine how to meet PWP goal in a reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally responsible way. IRPs consider a wide range of factors, including energy resources, environmental impacts, and the needs of customers and stakeholders. PWP is seeking proposals that must be able to perform the tasks identified in the “Scope of Work” section contained within. The Request for Proposal ("RFP") Software request will be for an initial term of three years, plus two one-year extensions at PWP’s sole discretion.
