PREBID NOTIFICATION -TOWN CREEK IMPROVEMENTSThe City of Murfreesboro, Tennessee is giving notice to contractors and stream restoration contractors of its intent to advertise for bids for the construction of the Project identified as Town Creek Improvements. The project is located in downtown Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee between the outlet of the Murfree Springs Wetland and Front Street and Hickerson Drive.The following is a general description of the Project:The project will daylight approximately 1,700 linear feet (lf) of stream channel that is currently encapsulated. The work includes demolition of site components and the existing box culvert, waterline relocation, mass excavation of the new stream channel, approximately 200 lf of new box culverts (double 8’ by 6’), new precast arch culvert, reestablishing stormwater connections, new hardscape including 4,000 lf of retaining walls, over 2,000 lf of multiuse concrete paths, landscaping, irrigation, fencing, and restoration of the corridor.The project is being funded primarily by the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA) funds and supplemented by local funds. ARPA requires recipients and their vendors, subrecipients (contractors and subcontractors) to adhere to federally mandated clauses for ARPA related expenses. The ARPA requirements are mandatory for this Project. To be eligible to bid the Project, Contractors and their subcontractors must have an active SAM registration and UEI number. A Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number is a unique 12-digit number assigned to each entity for use in doing business with the federal government.
