Box 5381 Oakland, CA 94605-0381 Business Services Opsbsm@ebparks.org NOTICE REQUESTING PROPOSALS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT THE EAST BAY REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT will receive at or before the hour of 4:00 p.m. on September 21, 2026, digital proposals for the maintenance, management, and operation of a stable/equestrian concession at Piedmont Stables in Dr. Aurelia Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park, Oakland, California. The East Bay Regional Park District (District) is a two-county special district providing regional parks and open space for both Alameda and Contra Costa Counties east of San Francico, California. The system comprises nearly 125,000 acres in 73 parks, including over 1,250 miles of trails and 55 miles of shoreline. The District acquires, manages, and preserves natural and cultural resources for all to enjoy now and into the future. The District’s parks are ideal for healthful recreation and environmental education. This Request for Proposals (RFP) provides all potential operators of a concession at Piedmont Stables with relevant information, the requirements to submit a proposal for operation of the concession, and a proposed sample Concession Agreement. The District is offering a term of one (1) year with the opportunity for up to four (4) additional one (1) year terms at the District’s option for this concession. This concession will be operated pursuant to a concession agreement prepared by the District; no leasehold or other proprietary right is offered. Description of the concession and the requirements of the concessionaire are contained here in “Request for Proposals for a Stable/Equestrian Concession at Piedmont Stables in Dr. Aurelia Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park”. All proposals received are public records subject to public disclosure under the California Public Records Act (Gov. Code section 6250 et seq.). The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to modify the terms of this RFP either before or after the deadline for submission of proposals, negotiate with one or more of the proposers, to call for additional proposals, or to refrain from accepting any proposal. Please be certain that your proposal is complete. Under no circumstances will proposals be accepted after 4:00 p.m. on September 21, 2026.
