This project will install a total of eight wave attenuation breakwaters in shallow water just offshore of Philippe Park. Four barriers will consist of arrays of precast concrete oyster domes (oyster domes) and four will be arrays of limestone rip rap rubble. All barriers will have a layer of bedding stone underneath. The County has already purchased the oyster domes (76), and the Contractor will load them at the County Yard and transport them to the project site for Contractor deployment by barge.
