On-Call HVAC

Description

The City of Fitchburg is seeking qualified HVAC contractors capable of performing various HVAC maintenance and repair services. The equipment to be covered includes all systems and all associated components, including thermostats, filters, safety controls, drains, ignition systems, burners, wiring, etc. The purpose of this bid is to establish contracts with pre-qualified HVAC firms from which departments can readily obtain needed services in a cost-effective manner. The City intends to make up to three (3) awards to various contractors who demonstrate their qualifications as identified, offer the lowest hourly rates and respond by the due date given above. Projects estimated to cost greater than $50,000 will be bid separately under the auspices of MGL Chapter 149. This service contract will only cover jobs with a total cost under $50,000 per job inclusive of all material and labor. For all non-emergency work a written estimate shall be provided prior to commencement of work including anticipated staffing levels. Contractors must possess a valid license/registration to perform services in Massachusetts. A copy of license/registration must be submitted with the bidder’s response. Contractors must have at least five (5) years of relevant experience in the electrical trade prior to responding to this bid and shall not be debarred from doing public work in Massachusetts.
