The City of Monterey (“City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide “on-call,” “as-needed” hazardous materials assessment, sampling, testing, data analysis, reporting, and abatement monitoring services related to: 1) construction and renovation of a wide variety of building and infrastructure projects for the City of Monterey and Presidio Municipal Services Agency, and 2) storm drainage and sanitary sewer collection system spills. The City owns, operates, and maintains municipal infrastructure, structures, and facilities throughout the City, including underground fuel storage tanks. The City is also a part of the Intergovernmental Support Agreement (IGSA) which is contracted by the Department of U.S. Army for maintenance and repairs of structures and facilities in the Presidio of Monterey (POM), Ord Military Community (OMC), United States Army Signal Activity (USASA) at Camp Roberts, and other military facilities. These buildings and facilities may require hazardous materials assessment, testing, and monitoring services prior to, and/or during, abatement and remediation by third party construction contractors.
