On-Call Grounds and Landscape Maintenance Services

Description

The City of Lawrence (“City”) is soliciting proposals from one or more qualified contractor(s) to provide comprehensive grounds maintenance and landscape maintenance services on an 'as needed' basis. Scope of services include, but are not limited to: routine mowing, vegetation control, debris removal, and tree care necessary to ensure public spaces are maintained in a safe, clean, and functional condition. Landscape maintenance services shall further include the detailed care and management of planted areas, turf, trees, and irrigation systems to promote a healthy, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing environment.The City maintains a variety of public spaces—including parks, municipal facilities, rights‑of‑way, medians, trails, open spaces, landscaped areas, and other public-use properties—that require ongoing grounds and landscape maintenance. These areas are essential to community accessibility, public safety, and the overall appearance of the City’s built environment. Seasonal fluctuations, public use patterns, and weather‑related impacts necessitate a structured maintenance program supplemented by responsive, as‑needed and emergency services.
