On-Call Environmental Remediation and Investigation Services

The City of Tucson (COT) is conducting a competitive one-step process to retain up to nine (9) Consultants to provide on-call professional services for Environmental Remediation and Investigation Services primarily for the Environmental & General Services Department (EGSD).The COT EGSD is responsible for soil and groundwater investigation and remediation, brownfield investigation and project implementation, and environmental permitting and compliance at various City properties. EGSD currently manages environmental and brownfield projects in various stages of completion. Remediation projects include monitoring and sampling at 16 City-owned landfills, two pump and treat groundwater remediation systems and two Leaking Underground Storage Tank (LUST) site cleanups. EGSD also operates an active municipal solid waste landfill. Environmental compliance and permitting includes environmental assessments, air quality, water quality and solid waste permitting and operations plans, landfill and remediation system compliance reporting and stormwater compliance. EGSD seeks qualified Consultants to work on the projects in the following categories: Site Investigation, Compliance, Engineering, and Operations Support. EGSD encourages innovative methods and approaches that result in cost-effective solutions.
