RFIs and Responses: RFI 001 Question: Request for Atlas Greenhouse to be an approved Vendor for the greenhouse and the Alternate Metal Building. Response: The Opelika School Board is still in the process of evaluating Atlas Greenhouse as an approved manufacturer. On Sheet C7-01, Atlas Greenhouse was deleted as an approved equal until the Opelika School Board finalizes its determination. RFI 002 Question: Section 321216 “Hot Mix Asphalt Paving” Suggests this project has some paving scope of work. Please clarify where paving work is required, if anywhere other than damages that may be done during construction. Response: There is no paving work required in the scope of this project. The Section 321216 “Hot Mix Asphalt Paving” has been deleted from the Addendum 1 project specifications. Question: Request to make Nucor, and/or Steel Building Systems an approved equal vendor to Pinnacle. Response: Nucor and Steel Building Systems are approved equal vendors to Pinnacle. The project plans have been updated to reflect this in Addendum 1. RFI 003 Question: There are (2) 35' trench drains and (1) 73'-3" long trench drain (reference sheet C301, P1-01, S4-01, S1-01, and DT-01). The plumbing P1-01 shows a different type of trench drain than the detail on DT-01.C3-01 & DT-01 shows a 4" ACO Grate Type 480D wide on one detail and on P1-01 shows 6" wide trench drain Jay R Smith 6" wide zip trench drain polypropelene base with stainless steel grate, and then the structural drawing shows 2/S4.01 shows an 8" wide trench drain. Response: Discharge piping from greenhouse floor trench drain was changed from 4” to 6” on Sheet C3-01.
