The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) is soliciting services in support of the Overdose Data to Action – In States Year 3 (OD2A-S Yr3) initiative. This initiative is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and aims to implement comprehensive, data-driven strategies to prevent overdose deaths, improve health outcomes for individuals with substance use disorder (SUD), and enhance cross-sector response capacity statewide. The selected vendor will assist with programmatic monitoring, community level engagement, establishment of PHAST Teams and training, stigma reduction, strategic planning, and multi-sector coordination.Key responsibilities include developing a tracking tool for monitoring program activities, outcomes, and required programmatic reporting metrics, delivering training and education for the establishment of PHAST Teams. The vendor will also support strategic assessments, coordinating with law enforcement entities and community-based organizations to provide PHAST toolkit training and assist local communities in implementing harm reduction and public health overdose response strategies.Additionally, the vendor will help facilitate coordination among policymakers, state agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen a statewide network of prevention, treatment, and recovery resources. Services must be informed by evidence-based practices and delivered in alignment with OD2A-S goals to improve outcomes and reduce overdose deaths in Mississippi.
