NOTICE - Solid Waste Collection Services in Leon County - COMING SOON

Description

Leon County plans to issue a solicitation for the collection of the solid waste and recyclable materials that are generated by the residents and businesses in the unincorporated area of the County. Residential and commercial collection services will be provided pursuant to an exclusive franchise agreement (Agreement). Residential collection service will be subscription based. Commercial collection of Solid Waste is exclusive, whereas Recyclables collection to Commercial Customers is required upon request of the customer.The County estimates that there are approximately 40,600 households in the County, approximately 30,000 currently subscribe for service, and approximately 700 commercial establishments receive collection service. The County estimates that its solicitation will be issued in mid-September 2022, its Agreement will be awarded in December 2022, and the successful vendor will begin providing its services on October 1, 2023 (Commencement Date).
