Multi-Use Trail (Bryant) (S) ARDOT Job No.: 061812 Limits: From Midland Soccer Complex to Bryant Parkway County: Saline County, AR Proposed Action: Construct a multi-use paved trail Comment Period: Monday, August 10 through Wednesday, September 09, 2026 The City of Bryant in coordination with Metroplan is proposing to construct a multi-use paved trail in the City of Bryant, Arkansas. As part of the proposed project, land from Midland Soccer Complex, a property protected under Section 4(f) of the U.S. Department of Transportation Act of 1966, would be used for the construction of a portion of the proposed trail. The proposed project would use the park property solely for the purpose of enhancing the trail and improving the use of the trail for the public. The other activities on Midland Soccer Complex would be maintained and would not be adversely impacted by the proposed project. The Section 4(f) property, Midland Soccer Complex, is located in the City of Bryant at 3865 Midland Road, Alexander, AR 72002. The proposed project would involve constructing an asphalt trail along the southern boundary of the protected property, a ecting approximately 0.51 acres of the park. Within the property, the trail would cover a distance of approximately 988 feet for the proposed 12’ wide paved path. After taking into account impact avoidance, minimization, mitigation, and enhancement measures incorporated into the project, the proposed action is not expected to adversely a ect the activities, features, or attributes that qualify the property for protection under Section 4(f). This notice is provided to a ord the public an opportunity to review and comment on the e ects of the project on the protected activities, features, and attributes of the Section 4(f) property and on the proposed de minimis determination. The o icial(s) with jurisdiction over the property have been informed of the intent to make a de minimis impact determination, and a de minimis determination may be made only after consideration of public comments and coordination with the o icial(s) with jurisdiction.
