NOTICE INVITING INFORMAL BIDS The SANTEE SCHOOL DISTRICT will receive bids for: BID #1920-090-001 WALK-IN COOLER AND FREEZER REPLACEMENT at the Child Nutrition Department Office (2nd Floor), located at 9880 Riverwalk Drive, Santee, California, 92071, no later than Wednesday, January 29, 2020, at 2:00 PM. The estimated costs for the project is between $60,000 and $100,000. OBTAINING BID DOCUMENTS: Bidders may secure a set of bid documents by going to the District website under the purchasing department and clicking on bid documents. The bid documents will be given out at the Job Walk. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to ensure they have received all addendum and bid documents. A MANDATORY JOB WALK of will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. Bidders shall meet at the Central Kitchen, 9880 Riverwalk Drive, Santee, CA 92071. Bids must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier’s check, or a Bid Bond in favor of the District in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. Each bid shall be accompanied by the security referred to in the Contract Documents, the non-collusion declaration, the list of proposed subcontractors, and all additional documentation required by the bid documents. The successful bidder(s) will be required to furnish the District with a Performance Bond equal to onehundred percent (100%) of the successful bid, and a Payment Bond equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the successful bid, prior to execution of the Contract, regardless of the contract amount. All bonds are to be secured from a surety that meets all of the State of California bonding requirements, as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, and is admitted by the State of California with a rating of A++, A+, A, or no less than A-. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, the successful bidder may substitute certain securities for funds withheld by District to ensure his performance under the contract. WAGES: The Director of the Department of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality in which this public work is to be performed for each craft, classification, or type of worker needed to execute the contract, which can be obtained at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlsr/dprewagedetermination.htm. Every bidder is subject to the Labor Compliance Program (LCP) requirements per SB 854 established June 20, 2014.
