No officer or employee of the local jurisdiction or its designees or agents, no member of the governing body, and no other public official of the locality who his/her tenure or for one year thereafter

, shall have any interest, direct or indirect, in any contract or subcontract, or the proceeds thereof, for work to be performed. Vendor shall incorporate in all subcontracts the language set forth in this paragraph prohibiting conflict of interest.
