New and recapped tires provided by the Contractor must meet the requirements for city transit buses and service vehicles. They should be free from manufacturing defects (in workmanship and materials) for the entire useful life of the tire tread. Tires that do not meet these criteria may be rejected by GCTD at its discretion. Additionally, GCTD has spare tires, wheels, and accessories for its buses, which must be maintained and inventoried by the Contractor. All materials provided by the Contractor must comply with all applicable State and Federal requirements at all times.
