Tampa Fire Rescue's H.I.T 6 unit uses many tools and instruments to deal with any and all calls dealing with hazardous materials, gasses, and fluids. One of the instruments they use and oversee the maintenance of for other stations is the Multi-Rae Gas detector. The specific one they requested features compatibility with sensors such as PID, NDIR for combustibles and CO2, ammonia, chlorine, formaldehyde, and phosphine and more. This will improve safety by providing commanders and safety officers real-time access to instrument readings and alarm status from any location for better situational awareness and faster incident response.
