MS6-M26001 - 2026 Street Maintenance - Phase 1

Description

The work to be done under this contract includes:   Mill and overlay, microsurfacing, and pavement patching  across the City of Lawrence. The project also includes sidewalk ramps and minimal concrete pavement  replacements. The project includes, but is not limited to the following approximate quantities of work: 10,844  SY of milling, 1,518 tons of asphalt surface course (2”), 108,003 SY of microsurfacing, 3,700 LF of curb and  gutter, 321 SY of concrete pavement, 724 SY of sidewalk, and 3,789 SF of sidewalk ramps.    Schedule:  Area 1(location on title page of construction plans)- No schedule restrictions. The area may be worked on concurrently with other project locations. Area 2 (location on title page of construction plans)2- Contractor Shall start after July 15, 2026 and needs to be coordinated with "MS-230027 - Maple Lane Storm, Sanitary and Watermain Improvements" project for traffic control impacts/detour routing likely anticipated work on 19th Street between Maple Lane and Harper Street as part of that project.  Harper Street work may not conflict with the Douglas County Fair (Approximately July 27, 2026 - August 2, 2026) and can start after the fair. Area 3 (location on title sheet of construction plans)- No schedule restrictions. The area may be worked on concurrently with other project locations.
