UMMC Regional Poison Control Center will provide 24/7 surveillance and reporting to MSDH. The Mississippi Poison Control Center (MPCC) will collaborate with the MSDH to improve the early detection, surveillance, and investigative capabilities of the MPCC for chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear events. The MPCC will provide 24-hour daily surveillance for poisoning-related diseases and exposures for the term of this contract. Surveillance data will be entered into a database that is available for review by MSDH. The MPCC will prepare quarterly progress reports and submit them with quarterly billing statements. The MPCC will provide quarterly counts of opioid-related calls. The MPCC will prepare a year-end progress report and submit it to MSDH within one month of the completion of the project.
